The live store needs JavaScript — the product grid, filters, search, quick view and bag are all scripted. Here is a static look at the four departments instead:

Planted aquarium — Fish & Aquatics — in the live version the background becomes cursor-driven water, with a wave that sweeps in as you enter the department.

Hamster cage with bedding — Small Pets — the background becomes a lit burrow cross-section; your cursor is the lamp that reveals the tunnels.

A dog and a cat in sunlight — Cats & Dogs — the background becomes a front room: a couch, a rug and window light that follows the cursor.

A bird cage — Birds — the background becomes the inside of an aviary: daylight broken into diamonds by the wire, and a mesh that bulges where your cursor pushes it.

What this is

A working demo page built to show what a Shopify storefront redesign from this service can look like. You can browse, filter, search, quick-view and add to a bag. Nothing is transactional.

The brand

VIVARIA is invented for this demo. It is not a real pet-supplies company, and nothing here should be confused with one.

No prices

There is no price anywhere on this page, and no checkout. The bag counts what you put in it and then says so plainly, because nothing is for sale.

The products

Forty-four products across four departments. Every photograph is real and credited in the README; the names and descriptions are written for this demo. No live animal is actually being offered.

The background

One hand-written WebGL fragment shader, no library. It has four themes — ocean, burrow, front room and aviary — plus a themed wipe between them. Its only live input is your cursor; it takes no scroll input at all, by construction, because the canvas is fixed to the viewport.
